The Walton County Court Calendar
The public Superior Court calendar is part of the Alcovy Judicial Circuit system shared with Newton County. Its calendar index organizes links by judge, date, county, and calendar type. Entries may be Walton Civil, Walton Criminal, Pretrial Hearing, Trial Order, or Criminal w/Additions. These are setting groups, not case-search fields, and they do not mean each matter is set for trial.
The latest signed notice or order remains the key source for a party. A public calendar is a useful check. The case docket may retain an older setting after a reset, so the newest entry matters most. Magistrate, Probate, and municipal courts keep separate schedules. An Alcovy calendar does not cover every Walton warrant hearing, traffic matter, or city citation.
Walton Calendars Post Near Court
Alcovy says upcoming calendars are normally posted seven to ten days before court. That short window is a local feature, not proof that an earlier search failed. A setting may be valid before its public PDF appears. Judge pages can carry a dated Walton link before the general index is updated.
The observed judge page shows how dated Walton Civil and Walton Criminal links appear.

Match the county, date, and calendar label before relying on a link.
How to Find Your Court Date
Start with the issuing court and newest paper. Walton has no all-court calendar search. Superior matters use PeachCourt and Alcovy calendars; Magistrate matters use WebCaseManagement and its clerk; Probate traffic uses the citation, Probate clerk, and EZCourtPay; a city matter stays with its municipal clerk or vendor.
- Read the citation, summons, notice, or latest order and identify the court.
- Search the matching docket with the case number when known.
- For Superior Court, check the assigned judge page and Walton calendar link.
- Compare the case number, date, time, type, judge, and courtroom.
- Call the correct office if a reset may have occurred.
- Keep the latest order and check again near court.
The Superior Clerk answers record questions at 770-267-1307; Magistrate can be reached at 770-267-1349. Callers should give the case number or civil action file number and Walton County. Court counters are at 303 S Hammond Drive. Counsel is another direct channel for a represented party. Day-of-court postings can help, but the latest order controls.
Walton Calendar Judge Routes
The Alcovy index routes through judges Cheveda D. McCamy, G. Kevin Morris, Jeffrey L. Foster, Chief Judge Layla H. Zon, and Randy McGinley. It also includes Other Calendars, a Superior Court schedule, and a Walton holiday schedule. Civil scheduling goes through the assigned judge's office. The site is thus a set of routes, not one live search database.
The Walton judges and staff directory gives the office context behind those links.

Matching the judge first helps avoid a Newton County list or the wrong Walton calendar.
Reading a Walton Court Setting
Read a setting as a scheduled event, not an outcome. Confirm Walton County, then match the case number and judge. A label gives the broad purpose, but a signed order or docket entry may carry more exact instructions. A Trial Order is a calendar product and does not prove trial began.
| Date | The scheduled date, subject to a later order or reset. |
|---|---|
| Time | A listed start may be a group docket call. |
| Courtroom | The room stated on the current notice or calendar. |
| Judge | The assigned or presiding judge. |
| Setting Type | Walton Civil, Walton Criminal, Pretrial Hearing, Trial Order, or another stated purpose. |
A calendar does not show every filing or final disposition. Walton has no published code list for every setting. Use the PDF wording and ask the office about an unclear abbreviation.
Walton Calendar Labels Explained
Local labels help separate the calendar from the full docket. Their plain meaning is useful, but the case order still controls.
- Walton Civil
- A group of Walton civil settings.
- Walton Criminal
- A group of Walton criminal settings.
- Criminal w/Additions
- A criminal list with added entries.
- Pretrial Hearing
- A setting before trial whose order gives the scope.
- Trial Order
- A distinct calendar label, not proof of disposition.
A setting says what is planned. A disposition records what happened. A case can be reset, passed, resolved, or continued after the first calendar posts.
Resets, Continuances, and Cancellations
A continuance moves a setting through an order or approved process. Alcovy publishes no universal Superior Court reset form. Civil dates run through the assigned judge's office. An older setting may remain as history while a later entry supplies the new date.
A missing PDF, failed vendor page, or payment lockout does not prove cancellation. Check the newest order, current Walton calendar, and court office. Monroe has its own reset rules, and Loganville sends date-change questions to its clerk. Those city practices do not replace Superior Court procedure.
Walton Calendar Appearance Rules
Alcovy judge pages say proceedings are in person. Zoom needs advance permission for an approved reason. A public PDF is not permission to attend remotely. Phones must be off, and recording requires permission under Supreme Court Rule 22.
Since July 1, 2025, court reporters are not automatic for Alcovy Superior civil calendars. A party who wants the matter taken down must contact the reporter 48 hours ahead. Monday requests are due by the prior Friday. Late cancellation may cause a $100 fee if no other party arranged coverage.
The assigned image set also includes the Eleventh Circuit site.

That federal appellate source cannot confirm a Walton Superior hearing.
What To Do If You Miss a Setting
Act promptly. Contact the issuing clerk and, for Superior Court, the assigned judge's office. Give the case number, Walton County, missed date, and setting type. A represented party should call counsel. Ask whether a new order exists and what the court requires. Clerk staff can report the record, but they cannot give legal advice.
Missed a Setting? A missed criminal or traffic date can lead to failure-to-appear action, a warrant, or other consequences.
Call the clerk and counsel at once; do not assume a new date was assigned.
Seek advice from a licensed attorney before taking steps that affect the case.
If the calendar still shows the old date, ask whether the docket has a later order. Keep any new written notice. A city citation goes to its municipal clerk, while Probate traffic goes to Probate Court. The response follows the court that holds the case.
Cross-Checking Walton Calendar Details
A sound calendar check preserves enough context to spot a stale or mismatched list. Record the assigned judge, Walton County label, PDF title, calendar date, setting type, and the date the page was viewed. The same Alcovy site serves two counties, and one judge page may carry more than one list. A party name alone can be ambiguous. The case number connects the public calendar to the docket that contains later orders.
If a notice and PDF conflict, call with both available. State the full calendar title and the newer notice date. Ask whether the case was reset, passed, continued, or moved to another list. This is more precise than asking whether court is still happening. The office can then check the assigned calendar and docket entry. A downloaded PDF remains a snapshot; it should be compared with the current page before travel.
Each court also controls its own change process. A Superior civil continuance goes through the assigned judge's office. A municipal clerk may use a local request form. A payment vendor cannot move a hearing. Even if a vendor stops accepting payment after the listed date, that does not prove cancellation or disposition. Keep each request, response, and new order together so the latest Walton County setting is clear.
Remote attendance, recording, and reporter coverage are separate from calendar publication. A person needing Zoom must seek advance permission. A civil party who wants a transcript must arrange reporter coverage within the stated lead time. The calendar says when a proceeding is planned. The court's order and office instructions say how the person must appear and whether a record will be made. Confirm those practical details with the assigned office early, especially when travel, an accommodation, or transcript preparation depends on a timely answer.
